Would you love to work with websites, create fun content and make your mark on a small business?

You might be wondering how to get started with a career in marketing. After all, applying for jobs can be a vicious circle: you apply, but the employer needs experience and you can’t seem to land that first job because you don’t have any experience. It’s hard for employers too. They might want to give some young enthusiastic talent a trial, but with tight budgets, it’s hard to justify the costs especially in today’s economy.

To help get younger people into the workplace, the Government has set up an initiative called the Kickstart Scheme. This has been created to help young people between 16 – 24 who are at risk of long-term unemployment get into the workplace, the scheme allows companies to take on a young person to give them valuable experience.

We’re supporting the scheme and searching for a part-time Digital Marketing Assistant – no experience needed!

What does the job involve?

The successful candidate will get involved in all areas of digital marketing and receive training that will give you the edge and make your CV stand out – from researching, writing and uploading blog posts to contributing to our social media and many more marvellous marketing tasks!

Where’s the role based?

The successful candidate will split their time between our office based in North Norfolk and working from home. A laptop will be provided – we’ll also throw in plenty of cups of tea or coffee too.

Who would this role suit?

This is the ideal position for someone hoping to pursue a future career in marketing; it will provide some solid all-round experience in many areas of the sector. No formal training or experience is required, but the ideal candidate would need to have an interest in marketing or social media and have strong English and spelling and grammar skills. If you’re organised, able to follow instructions, have a good work ethic and are not afraid to ask for help when it’s needed, you could have the qualities we need.

How do I apply?

This role is only open to those currently claiming Universal Credits and to qualify you must go through your DWP work coach – we’re unable to accept direct applications.

What if I’m not on Universal Credits?

For us to qualify for funding for this role the successful applicant must be on Universal Credits. We are, however, open to offering two-week work experience placements throughout the summer. If you’d like to hear more about joining us for a two-week work experience placement, please email lauren@lycopywriting.co.uk
